Who We Are
Founded over twenty years ago, EPIC has developed into
a substantial and highly reputable professional association
for ex-police officers from forces in England, Wales, Scotland
and the Police Service of Northern Ireland.
With an established reputation EPIC is now recognised by
Government, other industrial and commercial associations
and the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO). Members
are included on commissions, enquiries and working parties
engaged in examining developments in the security industry.
The views of the EPIC membership are sought in the planning
of new legislation and other fundamental issues.
EPIC is a substantial and highly reputable professional
association for ex-police officers working in industry and
commerce - with a current membership in excess of 300. EPIC
provides members with a forum of fellow professionals for
mutual support or advice on a wide range of issues affecting
the security industry today.
All police forces in the UK are represented in EPIC which
welcomes retired officers of all ranks.
EPIC the history
EPIC was founded in 1980 by a small group of ex-police
officers working in the security fields and the inspiration
and first President of the organisation was the late Arthur
REES, CBE, QPM, DL former Chief Constable of Staffordshire.
The Objectives of Epic are to:
- have exchanges of information regarding security in
industry and commerce for the benefit and in the interest
of the individual members, their employers and clients;
- assist where possible with any maters affecting members.

GOVERNMENT AND BUSINESS
With a well established reputation EPIC is now respected
